PUBLIC & PRIVATE COMMISSIONED WORKS
The Monkey Bar – New York City
In 1987, I was commissioned to paint a series of monkeys at The Monkey Bar in New York, working in the style of the original six or seven figures created in the 1940s. When the restaurant was reconfigured in 1995 by architect David Rockwell, I restored the existing murals and added several new monkeys to complement the originals.
Since then, The Monkey Bar has become an iconic New York landmark, featured in numerous films and television productions. The Monkey Bar was featured in the distinguished Rizzoli publication The Murals of New York by Glenn Palmer-Smith, which showcases significant mural works throughout the city. The mural remains an enduring part of the restaurant’s visual legacy, contributing to its timeless character and cultural presence.

BrickTops Restaurants
My distinctive monkey paintings have become a recognizable feature in several BrickTops Restaurant locations, including Palm Beach, Naples, Charlotte, St. Louis, Miramar Beach, and Nashville. Each installation brings its own sense of personality, warmth, and sophistication to the space, enhancing the dining experience with a memorable and refined presence. Premium giclée prints of my Monkey series are available for collectors seeking to bring this signature collection into their personal or professional spaces.
Elk Painting
I was commissioned to create this large elk painting as the official logo for the High Country Charitable Foundation. Installed prominently in their elegant barn event center, the work serves as a striking visual symbol of the foundation's mission and identity. Based in North Carolina, I am proud to support the High Country Charitable Foundation in its mission to address the needs of local residents and animals through funding of both public charities and private foundations. My elk painting embodies the strength and grace of the region, while reflecting the organization’s dedication to community compassion and development.
Saint Joseph and the Christ Child
I painted and installed this mural of Saint Joseph with the young Jesus at the St. Joseph Center of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gainesville, Florida. The devotional painting depicts a garden in Nazareth, featuring the plants, birds, and animals native to the region. Children especially enjoy exploring the scene, discovering the hidden details—from the birds to the plants, and even a praying mantis.
